#farrellreview

Sir Terry Farrell’s independent review of Architecture and the Built Environment has been published today.

Under the invitation of MP Ed Vaisey, Sir Terry Farrell commenced last year the independent review of effective architecture policy in the UK. The review looked at four main areas and makes recommendations pertaining to:

  • Education
  • Design Quality
  • Cultural Heritage
  • Economic Benefit

'Good design builds communities, creates quality of life, and makes places better for people to live, work and play in. I want to make sure we’re doing all we can to recognise the importance of architecture and reap the benefits of good design.'
Ed Vaizey MP

Open-City’s director Victoria Thornton has been one of the expert panelists assisting in gathering evidence for the review. Read her thoughts on the opportunities the review presents on her blog.
