My City Too at the London Festival of Architecture 2010

30 May 2010

As part of the London Festival of Architecture 2010, Young Londoners’ from Open-City's My City Too campaign, will be debating what London should look like in the future, holding outdoor debates around London on the need to design space for every generation. They will set up their debating platforms across the capital, including in Westminster, Croydon and Wandsworth.

The question they will be debating is ‘Should every generation to have their own corner in public spaces, acknowledging their needs and making them feel welcome?’ This question forms part of their Young Londoners’ Manifesto for better design in the capital. Speakers from the worlds of architecture, planning and the public will debate with them, putting forward their own views on what they want for the design of their local environment.

This event is intended to stimulate debate and create better communication across the generations about how London’s public spaces can be better designed for the whole community.
