Architecture Education Network

Architecture Education Network (AEN)

The Architecture Education Network (AEN), created by Open-City, brings together teachers and architects informally to unlock the potential of architecture as an educational experience. Seminars provide teachers and architects with opportunities to explore how architecture can be incorporated into a variety of learning contexts. Open-City encourages specialists to share their expertise, communicate their ideas, and generate fresh and innovative approaches to advance architecture education.

All London-based primary and secondary school teachers are invited to attend the next AEN session on Monday 28 June as a free taster before joining. For more details email Suzie Zuber.

Benefits of AEN membership

1. Invitations to termly events: opportunities for teachers, architects and design professionals to discuss current issues and share skills and knowledge; recent events have taken place at Golden Lane Campus and the Blizard Building at Queen Mary College
2. Opportunities to explore current architecture exhibitions to use with students
3. Networking and socialising opportunities
4. A regular e-newsletter considering current issues in architecture education and with teaching ideas and resources.

One year’s membership of the AEN is £35. An institutional membership for 4 people is £100.

If you are interested joining the Architecture Network or would like information on future AEN events, please email Suzie Zuber, Head of Architecture Education, or phone 020 7383 5722
